Octavia KAY is a polish born singer, song-writer, flautist and actress. She lives and works in London. With a range of more than 4 octaves she performs both her own compositions as well as standards and cover versions. She graduated from The F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, Poland, and received scholarships from The A. Casella Conservatory in L’Aquila, Italy, and The Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome (C flute and opera vocals).
On March 21, 2017 she released her song “Plus Minus Infinity”. The track was recorded and mixed by Cosmo Entertainment Label.
The track is a preview of her new album which shall premiere this year. Octavia is working on her record with musicians, that are known for their musical cooperation with Amy Winehouse i.e. Troy Miller. Here you find the video for the track “Plus Minus – Infinity”
Last year she raised a lot of attention with her cover version of “Writings on The Wall” from James Bond movie “Spectre”.
Her music background is Jazz, Hip Hop, POP and Classical music… Until recently Octavia collaborated with Polish and British jazz music society. But that was not enough for her musical energy needs. She turned into pop music, mixing melodies, dance rhythms with hip hop groove. She created her own style FUTURE POP and her new song Plus Minus Infinity is one of the first fruits of her NEW ALBUM.
“I’m constantly looking for new musical inspirations. Music is the most important aspect of my life. I work on music in a traditional way but I also cooperate with musicians online. There’re no boundaries nowadays. We can communi- cate with the whole world and share our ideas, tunes, vocals. I’m very much influenced by this diversity of cultures and I hope you can find it in my music.” OCTAVIA’s new album is an exclusive international project. With her debut album she won the 2010 ‘Music Lovers’ Hope of the Year Jazz Grand Prix during The Jazz Oscar Awards Ceremony.
